Changing Shapes And Frames

As our semester in Singapore is coming to an end, some are headed back home for internships, while others will keep travelling through Asia for a little while longer before heading home as well. Soon, we will once again be reunited with friends, family and colleagues and will probably get the question “How was it?” a million times. And every single time, our eyes will light up, and we will tell them endless stories of how we went scuba diving in the Philippines, jetskiing in Malaysia, hiking in Bali, and so much more. It will sound amazing, and trust us, it was!

Soon life will go back to “normal”, however, we will probably never be “normal” again. Cause how can you truly just fit back into the same old frame when you have changed your shape completely? Questions like “Will my job still fit me?” and “Will my friends understand the person I have become?” are all questions we have to ask ourselves once we have returned. Now, we slowly have to rebuild the frame to fit the person we have now become through our multiple experiences across the globe. Experiences that have shaped who we are through culture, meeting new different people, and crazy experiences. Things that probably still need time to be processed completely, because they were so life-changing, but also things that will keep changing who we are just for a little while longer.
Maybe the most important question that is left to be answered is: “Was it worth it?”.

To that, every TREBLER would say YES! Yes, we have struggled sometimes, and yes, visa issues can make you cry yourself to sleep, but even through these times, everyone in TREBLE stood together as one big family and supported one another. Also, most of us became part of TREBLE to truly find out who we are and want to become. To say, the impact we want to have in this world. So, it was truly worth it because we came one big step closer to finding the answer to this through the good times but also through the tough ones. We truly learned who we are when we struggle, but also who we are when we are the happiest. And most importantly, we found out who we want to become by having amazing friends that got us through those tough times, and by having impactful academic experiences, such as company visits and client work.

TREBLE truly changed who we are, and we will forever be grateful for all the people we met throughout these two semesters! From the hotel receptionists to the amazing professors, to our batchmates, thank you for making these two semesters something we will never forget! See y’all in Copenhagen!
