Formalizing the Vision and Mission of GLOBE Alumni

Since its founding in 2013 as a non-profit organization for and by former GLOBE Scholars, GLOBE Alumni has developed to become an organization comprising +700 GLOBE alums and 14 unique GLOBE Alumni batches across Denmark, USA and Hong Kong.

Our alums may primarily know GLOBE Alumni for hosting social events and being a link between GLOBE batches. What fewer might know, is that GLOBE Alumni also plays an active role in the recruitment of new GLOBE Scholars, facilitation of our mentorship program, communication with internal and external stakeholders, among other initiatives.

To formalize the purpose of GLOBE Alumni, we are introducing a vision and mission statement along with four objectives describing the role of the organization.

THE VISION OF GLOBE ALUMNI:

To develop GLOBE as a professional and social lifelong international experience

THE MISSION OF GLOBE ALUMNI:

We engage GLOBE Alumni with enriching experiences, and we develop the professional prestige of the GLOBE program

THE ROLE OF GLOBE ALUMNI:

GLOBE Alumni fosters lifelong professional and social relationships between GLOBE Scholars

GLOBE Alumni ensures continued admittance of curious and ambitious students for our global community

GLOBE Alumni provides support for current GLOBE Scholars

GLOBE Alumni facilitates the connection of external stakeholders and GLOBE Scholars

In the GLOBE Alumni Board, we look forward to a 2021 where we continue to strengthen the GLOBE community and welcome another batch into the family. We hope that the COVID situation improves, allowing for more social events to be organized in a responsible manner and that we may be able to celebrate our (postponed) 15-year anniversary.
